This Privacy Policy explains how the MinTok app ("MinTok," "the app," "we," "us," or "our") handles your information. MinTok is a study-time management app that lets you plan a weekly study routine, track the time you actually study, and save a virtual balance you can spend on items on your wishlist.
The short version: MinTok does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. All of your data stays on your device (and, if you use MinTok Pro with iCloud, in your own private iCloud account). We never see it.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information. MinTok has no user accounts, no sign-in, no servers that we operate, and no analytics or advertising. We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, usage analytics, or any other personal data.
The information you enter into the app — such as your study menus, your weekly routine, your study records, your hourly-wage setting, and your wishlist items — is stored only on your device. This data is created and used entirely on your device to make the app work. It is never sent to us or to any third party.
2. How your data is stored
- On-device storage. All app data is saved locally on your device in the app's private storage (a shared app group container used by the app and its home-screen widget). It remains on your device under your control.
- iCloud sync (optional, MinTok Pro). If you subscribe to MinTok Pro and are signed in to iCloud, settings and study records can sync across your Apple devices using Apple's iCloud Key-Value Storage. Sync goes through your own iCloud account, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to your iCloud data and cannot read, retrieve, or manage it. The timer that is actively running is never synced; it stays local to the device.
3. Purchases (MinTok Pro)
MinTok offers an optional paid upgrade ("MinTok Pro") through Apple's in-app purchase system (StoreKit). All payments are processed by Apple, not by us. We never receive or have access to your payment-card details, billing address, or Apple Account information. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Any subscription is managed by you through your Apple Account settings.
4. The MinTok "balance" is not real money
The hourly wage, balance, earnings, and "redemptions" in MinTok are a virtual motivation feature based on your study time. They are not real currency, are not redeemable for cash, and involve no financial transactions, payments between users, or chance/lottery mechanics. Any real-world item on your wishlist is something you choose to buy yourself, in the real world, outside of the app.
5. No tracking, no advertising, no third parties
MinTok does not:
- track you across apps or websites,
- show advertising,
- include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs,
- transmit your data over the network to us or anyone else,
- sell or share your personal information.
6. Children's privacy
MinTok is rated for general audiences (4+) and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Because no data is collected or transmitted, the app does not gather information from children.
7. Data retention and deletion — you are in control
Because all of your data lives on your device, you control it completely:
- Reset within the app. MinTok's reset feature clears your study records, balance, and redemption history while keeping your menus, wage, and routine, so you can start over.
- Delete the app. Deleting MinTok from your device removes the app's local data stored on that device.
- iCloud data (if you use sync). You can manage or remove iCloud-synced data through your device's iCloud/Apple Account settings.
Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to retain, and no deletion request to us is necessary. If you have questions about deleting your data, contact us using the details below and we will help.
8. Your rights
Since we do not collect or process your personal data, there is no personal information held by us to access, correct, port, or delete. You remain in full control of all data on your device as described above. If you have any questions about your privacy rights, please contact us.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected in the app or its App Store listing. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
